I like the faces, paint, and sculpt in particular. I generally find figma to be the overall best looking. It also matters to me how much the figure resembles it's character. Some people can't get past the looks of the joints to even consider action figures pretty, but the joints don't bother me. I only have one Chogokin, but here he is with 3 figma and a Revoltech:įor me, one of the most important aspects of the figure is how pretty it looks. I know that there is variance in the line though because they have some very buff and large characters as well as the smaller ones that I have. The three I have are veryy similiar in height, but their sculpts are very unique. Super Action Statue: I only have three of those at the moment (though that's soon to change from what I saw at Wonderfest). Woody is much differently shaped than and other others. Revoltech has some variance not only in the height and body type but also other characteristics. I also find the females to either be all the tall side (this could also be due to the characters as I have have 1 SH Figuarts female that was around 135 mm instead of the usual 150-155 mm ) While the height isn't much different for most figuarts, there are some big differences in body type so that is nice. ![]() This could be partly do to the fact that I have fewer SH Figuarts than Figma. SH Figuarts does have some variance, but not as much as Figma. The girls range from about 120 mm to 145 mm (with some outside the range) and they provide even more variance in body shape and type. That gives a fair amount a variance throughout the line which I feel adds some realism. ![]() ![]() The Males figures average a height of 140 mm to 160 mm (with a few going outside of this range). You can really see a difference in the size of their bikes as well: I'm not sure the scale, but she's about 100mm where as even figma children are usually 110-115 mm. He's More than a head taller than some of my tallest 1/12 figures. The Play Arts Cloud is probably more of a 1/10 scale. Play Arts Cloud, Saint Seiya Cloth Myth, MicroMan, and Revoltech Fraulein are a bit out of scale for my taste. This is to look at size differences between brands as well as size differences within brands. I try to keep my collection to the 1/12 scale though I have a couple of figures outside that scale. I like that all of these brands have windows for the actual figures and pictures of poses. I don't' mind buying figures with damaged boxes, especially if it lowers the price. I keep all my figma boxes (and a few others) in large boxes/tubs in my attic. ![]() I'm personally not one to care about boxes. Top Row Left to Right is: Revoltech Vash, (Shimakaze), Microman Arts, SH Figuarts Joker Second Row Left to right is: Revoltech Saber Alter, Figma Saber 2.0, Super Action Statue Leone I don't have boxes from a few of the brands. View spoiler Hide spoiler I forgot to do my AGP in pictures. The Brands I will be looking at: (mostly near 1/12 scale) I consider Figma to be my favorite brand, but when it comes to other brands, it's a bit hard to decide so I wanted to write out my thoughts. This post will be a comparison of some of the types of pose-able figures that I have.
